Function overview

To get an idea of what functions a staff member can choose from, the list below shows the different functions available at this moment. It is possible to perform multiple functions during NICES. You can submit your preferences to the organization. This will be taken into account as much as possible.

Activities support 09:30 - 17:00
  • Responsible for smooth progress of activities;
  • Point of contact for participants;
  • Point of contact for the organization;
  • Interpretation.
Kitchen service morning 08:00 - 14:00
  • Taking care of staff breakfast;
  • Providing staff lunch;
  • Supporting Field maintenance;
  • Keeping festival tent in order.
Kitchen service evening 14:00 - 20:00
  • Taking care of staff dinner;
  • Manning bar in the afternoon;
  • Keeping festival tent in order.
Bar service 19:00 - 01:30
  • Manning the bar;
  • Preparing snacks;
  • Selling food and drinks;
  • Cleaning up the bar and festival after closure.
Field maintenance 09:30 - 17:00
  • Performing chores and minor repairs;
  • Emptying waste bins;
  • Maintaining and cleaning toilets and showers;
Information service 09:00 - 17:00
17:00 - 00:30
  • Contact point for participants during the day;
  • Contact person to the organization;
  • Information supply (e.g. attractions);
  • Complaints and issues tracking.
Night security 00:00 - 08:00
  • Keeping the night peace;
  • Point of contact for participants during the night;
  • Ensuring safety on the field.
Ticket distribution 20:00 - 21:00
  • Distribution of tickets (registration certificates of activities) among participants. This is done by means of a computer system.
Building up and breaking down the camp site Whole day
  • All activities involved with building up and breaking down the camp site.
    Specialized skills might be required for certain activities.
